Switch from Trustworthy to HearthVault
Export your Trustworthy Family Operating System and bring every document into HearthVault in one go — AI re-files it, keeps your section names as tags, and turns dates into reminders.
1. Export from Trustworthy
- 1Sign in to Trustworthy on the web (not the phone app).
- 2Open your account menu → Settings → look for Export (Trustworthy lets you download your documents and a spreadsheet of details).
- 3Choose everything, request the export and wait for the email — it arrives as a ZIP with one folder per section (Family IDs, Finances, Property, Passwords, Insurance, Taxes, Legal, Emergency).
- 4Download the ZIP. Don't unzip it — drop the whole file into the HearthVault wizard.
2. What lands where

Each Trustworthy section becomes a tag (e.g. `family-ids`) and every document carries an “Imported from Trustworthy” note, so nothing is lost even where our categories differ.
3. Import in HearthVault
- Create your vault (name + PIN, one minute), or open the Switch wizard from “Add documents” in an existing vault.
- Pick Trustworthy, drop the ZIP or choose the folder — files upload in small pieces.
- Check the preview: one row per folder with a suggested category you can change.
- Start the import and carry on; a progress bar shows each document as it's filed.
Staged files are deleted the moment the import finishes; filed documents are encrypted at rest.
