Switch from Everplans to HearthVault
Move your Everplan — documents, wishes and the people you named — into HearthVault. The wizard files the documents; the estate module takes the wishes and contacts.
1. Export from Everplans
- 1Sign in to Everplans on the web.
- 2Open each section (Legal & Financial, Health, Personal & Family, Home & Property, Digital, Funeral) and download the attached documents — or use Account → Export / Print my Everplan for a PDF of everything you wrote.
- 3Put the downloaded files into one folder, keeping Everplans' section names as sub-folders if you can.
- 4Drop that folder (or a ZIP of it) into the HearthVault wizard. Add the Everplan PDF too — it becomes a searchable document.
2. What lands where

Section names become tags, the Everplan PDF is kept whole and searchable, and deputies you named can be re-invited as partners or executors in a minute.
3. Import in HearthVault
- Create your vault (name + PIN, one minute), or open the Switch wizard from “Add documents” in an existing vault.
- Pick Everplans, drop the ZIP or choose the folder — files upload in small pieces.
- Check the preview: one row per folder with a suggested category you can change.
- Start the import and carry on; a progress bar shows each document as it's filed.
Staged files are deleted the moment the import finishes; filed documents are encrypted at rest.
